Saffire support starts with the implementation and continues through the life of your website. From 24/7 site monitoring to guaranteed next business day response on reported problems, we address all technical needs for Saffire quickly, efficiently and effectively.
- 24/7 site and database monitoring
- Issues reported to technical team via emails and text messaging after business hours
- Next business day response guaranteed for all reported questions or problems
- All unhandled exceptions logged to ensure quick resolution of issues
- Hosting through recommended third-party, national Internet Service Provider with
24/7 monitoring and support
- Use of Microsoft SQL Server, the most popular and reliable database
- SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is the standard ecommerce transaction security that protects
the connection between your site and the payment gateway. SSL guarantees:
- All communication of credit card information is done in an encrypted format, ensuring
that it cannot be stolen
- No one is impersonating your site, so customers know their information is secure
(indicated by a padlock icon and secure URL)
- Payment gateway through Authorize.net. While we can also work with other gateways
(like Payflow Pro, Paypal, Google Checkout and more), we prefer using this industry-standard
system. Authorize.net manages transactions by:
- Passing credit card information through a secure connection to the merchant bank
account and the Credit Card Interchange
- Directing the transaction to the credit card issuer
- Routing approved funds through the Credit Card Interchange to the merchant bank
- Using AVS (Address Verification System) technology to confirm the authenticity of
the credit card by verifying the billing address
- Encrypted storage of credit card information
- Once the credit card number is received, it stays encrypted for as long as the information
is on file (for future purchases, crediting, etc.)
- No one with access to the server can retrieve an unencrypted customer credit card
number
- For further security of the card number, only the last four digits of the credit
card number are shown on the website
- PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance testing at launch to ensure our system is
in compliance with the strict standards developed by major credit card brands to
test security on ecommerce sites. Standards include:
- Having a secure network with a firewall and strong passwords
- Protecting cardholder data through correct storage and encrypting cardholder data
transmissions
- Reducing vulnerability by using anti-virus software and secure systems
- Implementing access control to data by restricting physical and electronic access
to cardholder data
- Regularly monitoring data by tracking access to cardholder data and testing security
systems
- Maintaining an information security policy to address how information is kept secure
