Greetings from Florida

by Rebekah 12/16/2010 1:15:00 PM

We had a blast on our annual company trip the past few days.  Kendra revealed the surprise destination to us just days before our departure.

And we were excited to hear we would be headed to Orlando!  Take a look at our action-packed few days in Florida.

Our group shot celebrating the end of our scavengar hunt in Canada (the Epcot version).

The Imagination ride was scarier than you would imagine.

Dinner the first night at the World's Largest Hard Rock Cafe!

After a full day at Epcot, a hotel room pizza party was just what we needed.

Justin and Mike are so excited about our new WS sweatshirts (which quickly became a trip uniform).

A trip to Epcot isn't complete without a 3-D adventure with Michael Jackson in Captain EO.

Nothing like a big steak in the middle of the day to give you some energy for an afternoon at Epcot

Team 2 gearing up for a trip on the Fast Track as a part of our super fun scavenger hunt.

Our gang was very excited about the new Harry Potter ride at Island of Adventure.

The cold 28* weather didn't stop us from being the first ones at the park!

Of course we're all happy.  We're riding the Dr. Seuss carousel!

Trust us.  This trip was just as fun as it looks!

Welcome YMBL and South Texas State Fair

by Rebekah 12/9/2010 9:37:00 AM

Wright Strategies is excited to officially announce our partnership with the Young Men’s Business League of Beaumont for a new website not only for their organization, but also the South Texas State Fair.

We will be building a completely new site to bring the excitement of the South Texas State Fair online using the Saffire Commerce platform to create and host the site.  This project will integrate a new ecommerce system to make it easier to buy tickets to the fair and include a new mobile version of the website, allowing people to access information about the fair from wherever they are.

The YMBL organization will be highlighted through a website that focuses on its mission and community programs, including a members-only portion of the site which will allow members to update their profiles, see upcoming events and view a member directory online.

Our team not only wholeheartedly supports YMBL and its mission to improve the welfare of the city of Beaumont and Southeast Texas, but also wants to help the South Texas State Fair and YMBL lead the fair industry in internet presence.

Looking forward to this site launching in early 2011!

Get to Know Wright Strategies: Meet Kendra

by Rebekah 12/3/2010 11:40:00 AM

Favorite Holiday Cookie: Why do I get all the hard questions? Toffee (Is that a cookie?), my mom’s "Love Cookies", snickerdoodles, frosted sugar cookies.

Currently Listening to (Holiday): Kicking it old school – Harry Connick Jr.’s "When My Heart Finds Christmas" and Amy Grant’s "A Christmas Album." I can belt out any song on these CDs!

Favorite Local Holiday Event/Tradition: I must admit my favorite holiday tradition is my own cookie exchange party! Come with one batch of your favorites, and leave with a zillion new kinds. HEAVEN!

Winter Starbucks Order: Grande two pump extra hot non-fat latte (with a baked good on the side)

Guilty Pleasure Holiday TV Show or Movie: Christmas Vacation (FYI, this isn’t 100% true. Number one, I liked the original Vacation a lot better, and number two, I don’t feel guilty about it!)

Can’t Miss Holiday Classic: It’s a Wonderful Life (I know – boring, but I still remember “discovering” this movie in high school and feeling like I had to tell everyone about it!)

Most Memorable Childhood Memory: Santa couldn’t get to all the houses overnight on Christmas Eve, so he came to ours the night before. In the 70’s, we’d go out in my Uncle Jack’s wood-grain trim station wagon, and he’d actually talk to us on the CB radio!

All I Want for Christmas: The rumors are true: once I had my son Hudson, it’s all about him. I have everything I need!

Hope you enjoyed this get to know you with a holiday twist!
